Bedford Singer Grace Cope Signs Six-Single Record Deal

Grace Cope, a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Bedford, has signed a six-single development deal with the independent label Cyber Nomad Records. The first of the six, “Kept It All Inside”, is released on Friday 23 October.

Some readers will know her already. In 2025 she was the subject of a national BBC News feature, “Tourette’s no longer defines me: I can put my music out to the world”, which followed her determination to be recognised for her music rather than defined by Tourette’s. She has also appeared on Channel 4’s The Piano.

The team behind the next six songs

The label says Grace has kept writing, recording and developing her music since the BBC piece. The deal puts a professional team around the next stage:

• Chris Kimsey stays closely involved as Executive Producer across her work.
• James F Reynolds is producing the new material.
• Cyber Nomad Records has signed her for six singles.
• Lost Agency is handling music PR.

Why the label signed her

Nicola Wenman of Cyber Nomad Records, writing to The Bedford Times, was clear that the signing was about the music first:

“When we first met Grace, it wasn’t simply her story or the challenges she has faced that made us want to work with her. It was her songwriting, her voice and the potential we could see in her as an artist. That’s ultimately why we signed her.”

The label describes this as “a significant new chapter” in her career: “a 20-year-old Bedford songwriter moving into a professionally supported recording career, with six new releases planned”, just over a year on from the BBC feature.
